Experience

Alan Hipps is an experienced building enclosure consultant. His work includes building enclosure condition assessments, design peer reviews, field testing, investigations of new and existing structures, and repair design to address moisture-related deterioration of above- and below-grade enclosure systems.

Mr. Hipps has experience with parking structures, academic, residential, hospital, and institutional buildings. He is knowledgeable in a wide range of building enclosure components and systems, including curtain walls and aluminum window systems, skylights, metal wall panels, brick masonry, air and vapor barriers, roofing systems, waterproofing, traffic-bearing membranes, and sealants. His background includes masonry, concrete, structural steel, and wood construction.
