Isabelle Hanley

Experience

Since joining WJE in 2024, Isabelle Hanley has performed condition assessments, contributed to the investigation of enclosure distress, performed lab testing, and prepared repair drawings. Her experience includes developing repair designs and performing construction observations during the repair of building enclosures. She has contributed to multiple projects related to structures listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Hanley earned a Certificate in Urban Planning and completed coursework in historic preservation. She is proficient in both AutoCAD and Revit programs.

  • Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center - Battle Creek, MI: Repair design for limestone colonnade, brick masonry wall reconstruction, and penthouse roof replacement; development of repair drawings
  • Oak Cottage - Naperville, IL: Cultural resource evaluation, structure analysis, and report development
  • South Dakota State University, Coughlin Campanile - Brookings, SD: Assessment of interior masonry for the preparation of historically appropriate repairs
  • Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Salt Lake, Holy Trinity Cathedral - Salt Lake City, UT: Repair of historic plaster damaged during an earthquake; condition assessment, development of report, and repair drawings

  • Cumberland County Courthouse - Crossville, TN: Structural analysis of wood ceiling joists in the 1905 building followed by development of repair drawings and specifications
  • The Parthenon - Nashville, TN: Building assessment and repairs to mitigate water infiltration
  • Nashville Metropolitan Courthouse - TN: Repair design and construction observation for the public square reflecting pools

 

Laboratory Evaluations

  • Oriented Strand Board Roof Sheathing Testing - Northbrook, IL: Evaluation and testing after multiple iterations of full asphalt shingle tear-off and replacement
  • Plywood and Oriented Strand Board Roof Sheathing Testing - Northbrook, IL: Nail withdrawal testing and concentrated load testing to evaluate structural performance after weather exposure
